The Tramp Delux is a folding camp chair with an integrated fold-out side table and a sturdy aluminum frame, designed for campers who want comfort and convenience in a single seat. Rated to hold up to 120 kg (265 lbs) and built with a double-layer 600D Oxford polyester seat, it delivers supportive, durable seating with a 32.7 in backrest, while the attached side table keeps a drink, phone or snack within easy reach so you never have to set them on the ground.
Hand-picked by our gear specialists, this chair is aimed at relaxed camp evenings and long days at the pitch. The dual-diameter aluminum frame, using 30 mm and 16 mm tubing, balances strength with a moderate 3.6 kg (7.94 lbs) weight, and it folds down to a flat 80 x 58 x 15 cm (31.5 x 22.8 x 5.9 in) package for transport. The rigid build resists wobble, so it stays steady even on uneven ground.
Who is the Tramp Delux Camp Chair for?
This chair is a natural fit for car campers, anglers, festival-goers and anyone who values comfort at a base camp over ultralight minimalism. The generous seat, tall backrest and 265 lb capacity make it a reassuring, roomy seat for larger users, while the built-in side table appeals to anyone who likes a coffee, cold drink or book close at hand during long, relaxed sessions outdoors.
What is the Tramp Delux Camp Chair frame made of?
The frame combines 30 mm and 16 mm aluminum tubing, using the thicker sections where load is highest and thinner tubing to save weight elsewhere. The seat is a double layer of 600D Oxford polyester, a heavy, abrasion-resistant fabric that resists sagging and wear far better than single-layer seats. Together they produce a chair that feels firm and stable rather than flimsy, without the weight penalty of a steel frame.
How does the Tramp Delux Camp Chair perform at camp?
Set up on a real campsite, the rigid frame and wide stance keep the chair from rocking on lumpy ground, and the 32.7 in backrest lets you actually lean back and relax. The integrated table earns its place at mealtimes and around the fire, holding a plate or mug so your hands stay free. When it is time to move, the chair folds flat and slides into the trunk without a fight.
